Starter motor 3021036 is the 24 V, 11-tooth unit for Cummins NTA855 and NT855 engines, supplied in the mainstream 39MT gear reduction form rated 6.5 kW with 8.5–9.0 kW peak. The pinion turns clockwise on a 56 mm pitch diameter at 6/8 SAE pitch, mounting to an SAE #3 three-bolt flange. The 39MT version weighs 14–17 kg and includes over-crank protection.
