Piston body 3096681 is the 15.5:1 compression piston for Cummins K19, KT1150 and KTA19 engines, and interchanges with K38 and KTA50 units of the same compression ratio. Cast in one piece from high-silicon eutectic aluminium alloy, it has a nominal 159 mm bore machined to 158.7 mm STD, three ring grooves with hardened reinforcement, a low-friction skirt and a gallery oil cooling passage. Weight is about 5.5 kg; the matching piston kit is 3631245.
